A Russian CG feature animation in 3D stereoscopic format written and directed by Maxim Sveshnikov and Vlad Barbe, based on the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

The film depicts the fascinating travel of Gerda, daughter of master Vegard, who is trying to find Kai on the boundless spaces of the fantastic country bewitched by the Snow Queen, and destined to save the whole world from the reign of cold. During this travel Gerda faces difficult obstacles and finds new friends, some of which will surprise spectators.

It was one of the most anticipated Russian projects of 2012, with a budget of million. The dubbing was recorded at Salami Studios with established, veteran animation actors – Cindy Robinson, Doug Erholtz, Kirk Thornton and Wendy Lee – who have more than 200 animated projects in their portfolio. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in Russia in December 2012.
